FAQ Registration for Courses
Do I have to register for events at the AWI, or is there a compulsory registration requirement?
No. AWI lectures and exercises can generally be attended without prior registration.
The only exception is seminars. You usually have to register for these. The registration procedure may vary depending on the chair or working group. Details can always be found in the heiCO event comments. All information about the respective seminar should be published at least two weeks before the start of the lecture. Registration and allocation of seminar places typically takes place in the week before the start of the lecture. Late participation may be possible for remaining places; please contact the seminar leader.
Do I have to register for courses outside the AWI?
Yes, this may be necessary. Each department may have its own procedures and deadlines for this. Please check heiCO, the websites, or the respective departments if you would like to take a course outside your major. There may also be prerequisites for attending, or courses may only be open to students of the respective department due to limited space.
