The prestigious Best New Dataset Award of the International Political Economy Society has been awarded to a team of researchers around Axel Dreher. They received the award for the AidData's Global Chinese Official Finance Dataset, described in the book Banking on Beijing: The Aims and Impacts of China's Overseas Development Program. The dataset has been used in more than 250 research publications and referenced in more than 1,000 TV, radio, print, and online media stories.
